Insurance Requirements System and Exports
Generating Insurance Requirements Report for Certificates of Insurance (COIs)
This guide explains how to generate a report of the insurance your clients require you to carry. The report can be exported and sent to your insurance agent so your Certificates of Insurance (COIs) meet each client's needs, including coverage limits and special wording.

Accessing the Insurance Requirements Report
In the sidebar, open Accounting.
Select Insurance Requirements to open the report.
Who can use it. The Owner, Admins, Accounting and Project Managers can open the report. The Owner, Admins and Accounting can also add and change requirements on each client's Insurance tab; Project Managers see them read-only. Staff see a client's requirements on its Insurance tab but not this report. If you don't see Insurance Requirements in the menu, your role doesn't have access to it — ask your company's Owner, who can change it in User Management → Role Permissions.
The report is read-only. It pulls together the requirements entered on each client's Insurance tab; to add or change a requirement, open the client and edit it there. For each client it shows the required items — such as worker's compensation, general liability and auto liability — with the per-incident and total limits and any details.
What appears on the list:
Your clients — every client you've added, plus any Direct Client Package clients. If you subscribe to a Direct Client Package, you see the package clients included in your package level.
Service Envoy — badged Platform. Service Envoy isn't one of your clients, but it's on every company's list because it needs to be named as a certificate holder too.
Your own company — its rows are the coverage your technicians must carry to work your visits, not something a client asks of you. Leave them off what you send your agent.
Use the Client Status dropdown at the top to choose which clients are listed (it starts on ACTIVE), and the filters on each column to narrow the list further. Clear Filters resets them.
In most cases, having at least $2 million in general liability and $1 million in auto liability coverage satisfies client requirements.
Reviewing Client-Specific Details
Check the Details column for any special wording or notes unique to each client. These may include specific coverage requirements, such as an umbrella policy or waiver of subrogation.
If a client requires additional coverage that could increase your premium, evaluate whether you are ready to onboard with them. If not, inform your agent to avoid adding the coverage prematurely, as it provides no immediate benefit.
Once you are prepared to onboard with the client, ensure the necessary coverage is added so the COI will be accepted.
The report helps identify any gaps in your current policy, allowing your agent to make adjustments for compliance.
Exporting and Sending the Report
When the list shows what you want, click Export.
The file downloads as an Excel spreadsheet named insurance-requirements- followed by today's date (an .xlsx file). It has one block per client: the client's name, address, delivery method and insurance email, then each required item with its limits and details.
Save the file and send it to your insurance agent.
The export follows your column filters, but it only ever includes active clients — inactive clients are left out even if you're viewing them. The Service Envoy requirements are included too, with Service Envoy's certificate-holder address, so your agent has everyone who needs to be named on your certificates in one file.
Your agent can use the exported details to prepare COIs with the correct wording and coverages, ensuring clients accept them as a vendor. If you're working through a Direct Client Package, see Direct Client Package - How Do I Apply To Each Client? for the rest of the onboarding steps.
