Direct Client Package - How Do I Apply To Each Client?
A Direct Client Package gives you a ready-made list of clients to apply to. This is the step-by-step for working through that list — finding out how each client onboards vendors, applying, and getting your paperwork and insurance in order.
In the sidebar, go to Field Service → Clients. You should see a list of all the clients in the Direct Client Package you purchased. If you don't see any clients and you have purchased a package, submit the feedback form so it can be fixed.
Click on each client row to open their client detail page.
Look on the DCP Details tab for the Onboarding Method. This tells you how this client takes on new vendors: APP, EMAIL, PLATFORM or WEBSITE.
If the onboarding method is EMAIL, look on the Contacts tab for the contact whose Department is ONBOARDING and email them.
If the onboarding method is WEBSITE or APP, look on the Websites tab for the website whose Category is ONBOARDING and fill out their application there.
If the onboarding method is PLATFORM, the client takes on vendors through a third-party work platform — the Preferred Platform field on the same tab shows which one.
The DCP Details tab also carries the provider's Onboarding Notes - DCP, Insurance Notes - DCP and other notes — read them before you apply.
Go to Training and open the DCP Files tab (company admins see this tab). Use the Client Introduction Letter file for an idea of what to send — customize it to you.
Use the Client Onboarding Tracking spreadsheet, on the same tab, to track your application progress with each client.
Use the W9 V2014 BLANK - COMPUTER FILLABLE file so you only have to fill in a W-9 once. Each client requires a W-9, but it isn't client-specific.
Go to Accounting → Insurance Requirements to see what coverage each client in your package requires, and click Export to download the list for your insurance agent so they can issue a certificate of insurance for each client. See Insurance Requirements System and Exports for how to read and export the report.
